The seventh stage of the 2019 Giro d’Italia was won by Pello Bilbao (Astana Pro Team) as he stormed over the finish line in l'Aquila ahead of Tony Gallopin (AG2R La Mondiale) in second place, with Davide Formolo (BORA - hansgrohe) third.

Valerio Conti worked hard with his UAE Team Emirates colleagues throughout the 185km stage from Vasto and managed to retain the pink jersey.
