Sepp Kuss (Team Jumbo-Visma) was the victor on Stage 15 of the Vuelta a España 2019, with the American rider storming up the final Santuario del Acebo climb to win by 39 seconds from Ruben Guerreiro (Team Katusha Alpecin). Tao Geoghegan Hart (Team INEOS) was third, finishing a second behind Guerreiro.

Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team) attacked on the final climb but Primož Roglič (Team Jumbo-Visma) stuck with him and the Slovenian ultimately led the Spaniard across the line to protect his 2’25” GC advantage.

UAE Team Emirates youngster Tadej Pogačar remains in third in the GC (3'42") with Miguel Ángel López (Astana Pro Team) still in fourth (3’59”).
