Elia Viviani (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) sprinted to victory on stage four of the Tour de Suisse as Peter Sagan (BORA-hansgrohe) retained the overall lead.
Viviani beat Michael Matthews (Team Sunweb) into second place and Sagan into third in Arlesheim.
Sagan maintains a 10-second lead in the general classification, with Matthews climbing to second and Kasper Asgreen (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) falling to third, 15 seconds adrift of the yellow jersey.
One of the pre-race favourites, Geraint Thomas (Team INEOS), was forced to abandon the race following a clash in the closing kilometres.
