Peter Sagan combined perfect positioning with irresistible power to win stage five of the Tour de France in Colmar.
The BORA-hansgrohe rider claimed the 12th Tour stage victory of his career by comfortably beating Wout Van Aert (Team Jumbo-Visma) into second place and Matteo Trentin (Mitchelton-SCOTT) into third.
Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) crossed the line in 10th to retain the yellow jersey, but his overall lead over second-placed Van Aert has been cut to 14 seconds after the Belgian collected six bonus seconds.
