Tour de France 2019: Stunning stage seven win for Groenewegen

An enthralling bunch sprint in Chalon-sur-Saône saw Dylan Groenewegen win Stage 7 of the 2019 Tour de France for Team Jumbo-Visma, as he just beat Caleb Ewan (Lotto Soudal) and Peter Sagan (BORA - hansgrohe) to the line.

Two Frenchman Stéphane Rossetto (Cofidis, Solutions Crédits) and Yoann Offredo (Wanty - Gobert Cycling Team) went away early and it was a long day for them at the front, as they made it to within 12km of the finish on this epic 230km stage before they were caught.

Trek-Segafredo announced during the stage that they had extended the contract of race leader Giulio Ciccone through 2021 and they rode well to protect the Italian for another day in yellow.
