The professional peloton usually gets a make-over during the off-season, with new cycling jerseys being rolled out for the new campaign. While some teams stay the same, others adopt a brand-new colour scheme. Below, you’ll find all the confirmed pro cycling kits for the 2020 season.
AG2R La Mondiale
It’s as you were for French team AG2R La Mondiale, who will continue to wear the same distinctive blue, white and brown cycling kit in 2020 as they wore last season. Expect to see Oliver Naesen bidding for victories in the spring Classics and Romain Bardet challenging for honours in the Grand Tours in this jersey next season.
Astana Pro Team
Astana Pro Team have one of the most distinctive jerseys in the peloton. The light blue colors of Kazakhstan stay the same for 2020 with just minor changes to the jersey and the black shorts. Jakob Fuglsang, Alexey Lutsenko and Miguel Ángel López will once again be the designated team leaders.
Bahrain McLaren
A new name, a new look and new era from 2020 for Team Bahrain McLaren. Their 2020 cycling kit will look not-too-dissimilar to that worn by CCC Team in 2019, with black shorts beneath an orange cycling jersey, complete with a red left shoulder and sleeve. The likes of Mark Cavendish, Mikel Landa and Wout Poels will be easy spot in the peloton!
BORA - hansgrohe
The BORA-hansgrohe jersey pretty much stays the same for 2020 with the well-known black, white and green color scheme. This season will be one of the very rare ones where Peter Sagan won’t be wearing a different jersey compared to his teammates. In addition to the Slovakian superstar, BORA-hansgrohe also have Max Schachmann, Emanuel Buchmann and sprinter Pascal Ackermann amongst their team leaders for 2020.
CCC Team
CCC Team will continue to sport their usual orange colors in 2020. The Polish team has signed several high-profile riders for the new season, including Matteo Trentin and Ilnur Zakarin. Together with Greg Van Avermaet, they will be the main leaders in the team’s pursuit of success.
Cofidis
While the Cofidis jersey rarely changes much in design, the French team will adopt a slightly more red edition of the jersey in 2020. However, the rider expected to carry most of the responsibility, new-comer Elia Viviani, will stick to his white and blue European Champion jersey. Cofidis has also signed strong riders like Nathan Haas, Guillaume Martin and Simoni Consonni ahead of the new season.
Deceuninck - Quick-Step
Deceuninck - Quick-Step stick with their famous blue-and-white combination for 2020, but feature the lighter colour a lot more prominently on their jersey, as modelled by Remco Evenepoel. Big names including Julian Alaphilippe, Sam Bennett and Zdenek Stybar will all be highly identifiable in this eye-catching fresh design.
EF Education First
EF Education First had one of the most distinctive cycling kits in the pro peloton in 2019 and they will continue with their pink and navy-blue design in 2020, albeit with blue stripes around the waist (and right shoulder) as opposed to the blue fade last season. Look out for the likes of Rigoberto Uran and Sep Vanmarcke wearing this cycling jersey in the coming year.
Groupama - FDJ
Groupama - FDJ stay true to their French colors and keep a very similar jersey for the 2020 season with a mostly white jersey and predominantly blue shorts. The main protagonists will once again be Thibaut Pinot and Arnaud Démare, while also Stefan Küng and David Gaudu are expected to lead the team.
Israel Start-up Nation
Israel Start-Up Nation is the outcome of the merger between Israel Cycling Academy and Team Katusha Alpecin. The 2020 season will be the first one as a WorldTour team for Israeli squad, who therefore has signed a handful of strong and established riders to show off their new white and light blue jersey. Andre Greipel, Dan Martin and Nils Politt look to be the three leaders of the team in 2020.
Lotto Soudal
Lotto Soudal have overhauled their cycling kit for 2020 by introducing black shoulders to their previously all red and white jersey. Look out for the likes of Caleb Ewan, Philippe Gilbert and John Degenkolb bidding for victories in the spring Classics and Grand Tours in the coming season.
Mitchelton-SCOTT
The Australian team will once again wear the black and yellow cycling kit they sported in 2019. This is the jersey that Adam Yates and Simon Yates will wear as they target success in stage races and Grand Tours in 2020.
Movistar Team
Movistar Team will continue with their light-blue cycling jersey and dark-blue shorts in 2020, but their kit has been tweaked for the new season, with the smooth fade being replaced by a dotted fade. This is the cycling kit that Alejandro Valverde and Enric Mas will be looking to secure Grand Tour podiums in over the coming year.
NTT Pro Cycling [FKA. Team Dimension Data]
Team Dimension Data will become NTT Pro Cycling in 2020 and their cycling kit has changed as a result. The new team jersey will be blue at the top fading into black at the bottom - not too dissimilar from the final version of the pro team kit worn by the old Team Sky.
Team INEOS
Team INEOS will stick with the same cycling kit as they wore after changing team name in May last year. An Instagram post announcing their 2020 cycling jersey read: “New Season. Same Colours. As a thank you to our fans, we’ll be wearing the same kit for the 2020 season, with only the UCI WorldTour logo changing.” Fans will recognise big names such as Egan Bernal, Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas and Michal Kwiatkowski in identical kit to the previous season, with new additions such as Rohan Dennis and Richard Carapaz looking slick in the red-to-black fade.
Team Jumbo-Visma
There’s no major shake-up in the design of Team Jumbo-Visma’s kit for 2020, as they remain in their well-known black-and-yellow trim, but a subtle redesign is accompanied by the arrival of big-name signing Tom Dumoulin, who’ll don the colours with Wout Van Aert, Primož Roglič, Dylan Groenewegen, Steven Kruijswijk and more top talent.
Team Sunweb
Team Sunweb stick with largely the same cycling kit as 2019, with the only changes being some minor adjustments. Their cycling jersey now has the Cervelo logo on the shoulders rather than Sunweb, and the black cycling shorts no longer fade into the jersey. The distinctive white stripes on a red jersey remain, and will be worn by the likes of Michael Matthews, Tiesj Benoot, Nicolas Roche and Wilco Kelderman.
Trek-Segafredo
Trek-Segafredo changed their cycling jersey midway through the 2019 season from a mainly red design to mostly white - and they will stick with the modified version in 2020. The only notable difference to their pro cycling kit is it now has dark blue sleeves, as opposed to white. Another big change will be seeing big-name signing Vincenzo Nibali in the team’s new design, alongside the likes of Richie Porte and World Champion Mads Petersen.
UAE-Team Emirates
UAE-Team Emirates keep their usual colors for 2020 as the new jersey only shows small modifications. It’s still predominantly white with the United Arab Emirates’ flag on the front and black shorts. The team has signed multiple strong talents for the new season, including triple U-23 ITT World Champion Mikkel Bjerg, alongside seasoned pros like Davide Formolo and David de la Cruz. The main team leaders are expected to be Fernando Gaviria, Tadej Pogacar and Fabio Aru.
