The 2020 Giro d’Italia takes place from October 3-25 – and you can follow every pedal stroke of the action with Velon’s pioneering Race Centre.
Our new and improved Race Centre will give cycling fans a deeper-than-ever level of insight into the battle for the Maglia Rosa thanks to a range of unique features. It also comes in no fewer than six languages.
At the heart of the Race Centre is the Red Zone, which shows who has and who has not been riding above a sustainable effort. The Red Zone percentages help to highlight the riders who are likely to burn out and who could come on strong at the end of a race.
The Spotlight area enables fans to select up to 10 riders and compare their live power, speed and cadence side by side. So, if a handful of riders are on the attack on the Passo dello Stelvio, you can see who’s on the limit and who has something in reserve.
The Moments section delivers analytical snippets such as which rider has produced the highest power in the race so far, who has hit the highest speed and, for the first time, analysis based on a team’s aggregated data.
The Race Centre also features live course and profile maps, as well as telling you which riders are in which groups on the road.
The Race Centre is available free of charge for all 21 stages of the Giro on Velon’s website. It is fully optimised to whichever device it is viewed on.
In addition to English, it is available in French, Italian, Spanish, German and Dutch, with more languages to follow.
Throughout the Giro, Velon will also be sending a daily email to our subscribers packed with exciting content such as on-bike highlights, behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive rider diaries.
